His stone setter reviews every area stones will be set, making sure they will radiate with the brilliance nature intended and be held securely. In the end, each ring by Chris Ploof, whether made from meteorite, revolver barrel gun metal, mokume gane, gold, silver, platinum and/or palladium, with or without gems or engraving, is handcrafted in his Massachusetts studio requiring no less than fifty steps of work per ring, with some pieces taking well over five hundred steps! A quality inspection is the final step.
